Dreamweaver:
Open up Dreamweaver through the "Start" menu by selecting "Programs" >> "Macromedia Dreamweaver" (either 4 or MX) and then "Dreamweaver."

Dreamweaver will open with a blank page. From here, select the "Site" menu and click "New Site." In the first section, give your site a name (such as your Eden user name, which is how your site is identified with a URL), and pick a local folder on your hard drive to associate with your server space (a brand new, empty folder is best).

Click the "Remote Info" selection in the "Category" menu on the left. Change the "Access" to "FTP," and enter:

ftp.eden.rutgers.edu

... as the "FTP Host." Leave "Host Directory" blank for now (this is what we'll be creating). Enter in your Eden login and password, and click "OK" at the bottom of the screen.

Dreamweaver will open its FTP window with the remote side on the left, and your local side on the right. Click over to the left side. Go to the "File" menu and select "New Folder" (or right-click and select "New Folder"). A new folder will appear as "untitled"; simply name this folder "public_html" (note the underscore between the two words; the underscore can be attained by holding "shift" and pressing the dash or minus button directly to the right of the number zero).

You are now free to use "public_html" directory as your main folder within your Eden storage space. Any files within "public_html" can be access at the following URL, where "username" is your Eden login:

http://www.eden.rutgers.edu/~username
